This past week, my husband and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and our son turning six months old. I can't believe how quickly time has gone. We met 14 years ago while working at an art supply shop together. We celebrated all week by going to different places around Atlanta. Some we had always wanted to go to, but hadn't, others we hadn't been to in a long time. We also had our pictures taken by Heidi from Our Labor of Love. It was nice to have someone else take pictures for a change. It's really hard to constantly use the self timer and run back and forth to see how the pictures are turning out. I loved just being able to relax and let someone else take over. I can't wait to see how the rest turned out!
Still adding new work and relisting old favorites in the shop. A lot of new sizing option available as well.
If you're following me on Instagram lately, you'll have noticed I've been working on some new mixed media oil paintings. I'm really excited about this series and getting back into painting again. Working with oils is a new experience for me as I've always worked with acrylics and watercolors. Having the freedom to go back and work on things hours later and not have the paint be dry is totally liberating and something I need when I get interrupted a lot. I've been working on this series incorporating vintage fabric, oil, and pencil on canvas. I"m loving the direction that's it's going right now. I've added a few pieces to the shop and will be adding more in the coming weeks. I will not be offering prints of these so get them while you can!
